Just a wee little reminder that we are having a special Open House/Open studio this Saturday April 5th. We will be making all sorts of crafts, having a tea party, showing off layered foods and doing tours. Maybe if its nice and not snowing we can go on the roof.
So come, check out our sewing/darkroom/silkscreen/zine setup, eat some popcorn and get glue all over your hands! 1-6 this Saturday.

Zine-le-toi-même (8 mars, bilingue): c’est koi un zine? comment fait-on un zine? est-ce que j’en peux faire un moi aussi? Decouverte et partage des recettes zine, apportez vos zines, vos dessins, textes, photos, images, idées et outils magiques. / Zine-it-yourself (march 8th, bilingual): what’s a zine? how to make one? can i make one myself? discover and share your zine recipes, bring your zines, your drawings, writings, photos, images, ideas and magic tools.
Living Under the Table (march 15th, bilingue): ever traded labour for cash? produced crafts? sold sex? busked? or in any way worked for cash? Then please attend this workshop, an opportunity for people to exchange experience and resources pertaining to economic independence. People without experience but interested should also come. Hopefully enough can attend that we can produce a useful zine from the discussion./Ô vivre sous la table (15 mars, bilingual): avez-vous déjà échangé votre travail pour de l»argent comptant ? métiers artisanales ? travailleurs du sexe ? jouer d’un air dans la rue pour la soupe du jour ? Si l’un ou l’autre venez à cet atelier, une opportunité pour échanger expériences et ressources allant vers l’indépendance financière. Aucune expérience requise, venez ! Plus on est de fous plus on s’amuse. Il y aura la production d’ un zine si nous sommes assez.
Silkscreening (march 22, english): in this 3 hour workshop, we will learn the basics of silkscreening, from choosing an image to exposing a screen and printing it. Participants will be able to try these techniques themselves and walk away with at least an awesome printed patch and the ability to come back and do it themselves in st-em’s facilities!
Sexualités Lesbiennes (29 mars, français): on s’exprime sur le sexe lesbien, nos pratiques, nos tabous, nos craintes, nos decouvertes. Apportez vos jouets (si vous en avez et vous voulez) et vos mentalités bien ouvertes. Atelier non-mixte lesbiennes et trans.
Photoshop for beginners (april 12th, english): this course is an introduction to digital imaging and using the program the adobe photoshop. Participants will learn to become familiar with the forms and functions of this program, and a chance to do some hands on learning. Max participants 8 (please rsvp!)
B/W Darkroom (april 19th, english): this workshop will be a basic into to the black & white darkroom.You’ll learn how to develop film, make contact sheets, and how to print your own images by making Rayograms. Max: 6 participants (please RSVP)

too much anxiety and restlessness that’s been swallowed only to
make stomachs uneasy, hearts flutter, and make fists clench in pockets.
We make this zine in hopes that we can share stories and hope to soften blows
and foster a little support in our communities.”
This is a special zine launch party at ste emilie with the release of anxiety zine,
a zine of stories, art, advice, coping strategies and more. Alongside the release of this zine
there will be an exhibition of art featured in the zine, and a short video.
There will be tea and treats available!
