Screenprinting 101s

Basic screenprinting for everyone! Learn how to prepare your image, coat and burn screens and print on paper and fabric! A must for anyone interested in using our screenprinting studio ever.Â

Digital Image Preparation for Screenprinting (what we’ve all been waiting for!!!)
Saturday, February 19th @ 2-5pm
This is going to be a presentation of photoshop, the main functions, and then, the preparation of an image for a screen print.
Two options : 100% colors (Black) and half tones colors for separation.
We’ll talk about registration and the printing functions within photoshop. Bring a laptop with photoshop/illustrator if you have one!

Handmade projector slides workshop (bilingual) / Atelier de diapositives fait main (bilingue)
Saturday, March 5th @ 2pm

You will learn basic techniques to make slides out of garbage film material, tape, ink, or whatever you can grab.
Screening of everybody’s work at the end of the workshop ! Vous allez apprendre les techniques de base pour faire des diapositves à partir de vieux films trouvés, de tape, d’encre, et plein d’autres choses. Projection des travaux réalisés à la fin de l’atelier !
Bring any old slide or film or transparent whatever you found in the garbage and you would like to use. Please let us know if you have no idea how to find these kind of stuff in the garbage, so that we can plan to have some for you.
Apportez n’importe quel matériel que vous pourrez trouver pour confectionner les diapositives comme des vieux films trouvés dans la poubelle. Laissez nous savoir si vous n’avez aucun moyen d’apporter ce type de matériel afin que l’on puisse prévoir d’en avoir pour vous.

Sewing Basics and Cute Things
Saturday, March 12th @ 2pm
Learn basic sewing technics to make cute things, fix your clothes or hem your pants (sewing machines provided – bring your own fabric if you like)

Darkroom Black & White Photograph Developing
Sunday, March 19th @ 2pm
Learn basic Black and White photo developing in our fully equiped and under-appreciated darkroom!  Bring a black and white negative if you have some.

DIY Sex Toys
Saturday, March 26th @ 2pm
Why spend money on overpriced sex toys when you can make ‘em yourself using found/cheap materials? In this workshop, we’ll show you how to make strap-on harnesses and floggers out of bicycle inner tubes.
